Situational Awareness, Basic Self-Defense, Nervous System Regulation: With an Emphasis on Prevention. October 21 and October 28.

K.A.W.S. Invites you to participate in our second training date: 
October 28:  3pm- 6pm.

All identifying Women and Girls are invited from age 11+.
All youths ages 11-17 must be accompanied by an adult identifying woman who will register
all individuals including youths.  

Cost is $50 per person, Adults and Youths.

Learn how to approach your parked car in the dark, how you put your children in the car with someone approaching, how to defend yourself with gentle yet effective moves whether old or young, and introductory simple practices to stay grounded during the training and in daily life.  The reactions to threat and harm are complex.  This event does not include the neurobiology of response and trauma.  

Two active duties police officers and a nervous system regulation specialist will facilitate this training with an emphasis on prevention.  

All identifying Women and Girls from age 11+ are invited. Youths under 18 must be accompanied by a registered adult.  Only registrants will be given the location of the training, which is at a central Ashland location. Parking has been arranged for attendees and instructions are included in the confirmation email as well as the location.  Please see further specifics lower on this page.

If you’ve recently had an experience of significant trauma or are diagnosed with/suffering from
post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), we ask that you please obtain professional counsel before registering for this class.
We care about you.  In this training, there may be simulation exercises
that could be overly activating for you.

*Please Note Our Cancellation Policy:*
You agree to the following cancellation policy when your register.  Please read it carefully.

Due to our extensive preparations for this event, in order to receive a refund your cancellation email must be sent in advance of 48 hours of the training date.  A qualified refund will be minus the payment processor fee, which is nonrefundable to us and to you.  In the case where you can attend the next week’s session, please request a transfer and you will be registered in the next training session space permitting in lieu of a refund.

Please stay home if you don’t feel well.  

Only in cases of sudden emergency and sickness will a refund be issued without 48 hours notice.
Otherwise your registration fee will be considered a donation to K.A.W.S., and you will be sent a tax deductible receipt
if requested.  Please consider this policy carefully when choosing a date and registering.
